2024 Turkey Fry

There were 1,053 turkeys fried that were either sold or donated to local charities in 2024. The annual Turkey Fry was initially intended primarily as a fundraising event, but over the years has become an interactive community-involvement, much anticipated by the local public and numerous private and political supporters. It remains one of the primary fundraisers for Dawn Busters Kiwanis. The funds generated are used to support our nationally acclaimed Rewards for Reading Program, Scholarships, Key Clubs, major events in Lafreniere Park within our Club's home parish, and various other service and community- oriented projects and events.
