History

 On January 21, 1974  the Dawn Busters of Metairie Kiwanis Club was officially charted with 20 members being inducted into the club. In 1988 women were invited to join Kiwanis. Now more than 30% of our members are women. Through the years the Dawn Busters Kiwanis Club has worked many projects in our community. As our membership has grown so has the number of projects we do. We are especially proud of our award winning Rewards for Reading Program we do in 56 local schools! Currently our club has over 200 members and we are growing every day!
